Although they are often two consecutive steps of the same project, editing and proofreading are two distinct tasks and services.
What is proofreading and when to seek proofreading services?
Proofreading is the process by which WordKeeper Translations will meticulously scan a previously translated and revised document for the following:
- Spelling
- Grammar
- Syntax
- Punctuation
- Typos
- Format
It usually is the last step (post-translation and editing) in the entire translation process.
WordKeeper Translations will typically use the Track Changes option if the document is in Word and send you back two files: a version with the unimplemented changes tracked (which can be transferred to your translator) and a clean, ready-to-use version with all the implemented changes.
